Ulanów municipality is situated on the edge of the Solska Forest between two rivers - San and Tanew.

Tanew area has got iodine in the air. The local attractions are: a sandy beach by the river and a kayaks bay, vast woodland area where one can hunt, pick mushrooms and organise sleigh rides in the winter.

Ulanów is an old rafting town. Two historical wooden churches of Saint John the Baptist and Saint Barbara were always connected with the rafting profession of the congregation. One of the typical holiday villages on the Tanew river is Dąbrówka where you can visit its historical Orthodox church with a brick belfry - now the Roman Catholic church.
